On August 24th and 25th , Ano Asites village was the last destination of the "Heraklion Flavors" Gastronomy Festival, which was organized by the Municipality of Heraklion in collaboration with the Development Organization of Heraklion.

The two-day Festival was part of the successful series of events by the Cultural and Folklore Association of Ano Asites.

The "Heraklion Flavors" Festival was a "tour" of the centuries-old culinary and cultural tradition of Crete and at the same time a presentation of the taste and musical wealth of Heraklion.

In the framework of the two-day events, local associations and well-known chefs cooked recipes with the "taste" and aroma of Crete with raw materials and local products of high quality.

Meanwhile both days  there was an exhibition - shop of Cretan products in the area.
