Cretan Treasure Kalamata olives is the world-renowned and the most delicious Kalamata olives.

The original Kalamata olives are produced in Messinia,a region in southern Peloponnese, and got their name from the capital city Kalamata.These are the olives that are certified by the European Union under the name ELIA KALAMATAS PROTECTED DESIGNATION OF ORIGIN.

The olives are harvested by hand when they are ripe and stored in saline where they loose their bitterness through natural fermentation, without additives, and the process may take up to six months depending on the weather conditions. This type of process is called “physical treatment” or “Greek type”.

Our olives have the Protected Destination of Origin certification by the European Union (PDO).
